TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- A woman and her daughter narrowly escaped a fire that heavily damaged their home on Tucson's southwest side this morning.
Tucson Fire Department crews were called to the scene in the 2800 block of South Cottonwood Lane, near South Mission and West Silverlake roads, shortly after 10 a.m.
The 30-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter were treated at the scene for mild smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
